Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I want to be a substitute teacher because I really enjoy working with students and being in a school environment. Substitute teaching would give me the opportunity to work with different age groups and gain experience in a variety of classrooms. Since I am currently pursuing my Master’s in School Counseling, I also think it would be a great way to continue building my experience working with students while learning more about different school communities.
About Them
I would describe myself as outgoing, active, and easy to get along with. I love playing and coaching volleyball, traveling, skiing, being outside, and spending time with my friends and family. I also really enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new places and cultures. I try to be open-minded, positive, and always willing to try and learn new things.
Experience with Children
I have experience working with children of different ages through teaching, substitute teaching, tutoring, babysitting, and coaching. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and am currently pursuing my Master’s in School Counseling. I have also taught English in Spain and currently coach volleyball. Through these experiences, I have learned how to create a positive and supportive environment, manage different behaviors, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with children.
