Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I am passionate about helping children and families. I am currently getting my MSW at Walden University and would like to become a school social worker. This will give me the opportunity to become more familiar with school settings and gain experience communicating with children, which will help me achieve my future career goals.
About Them
I am very creative, always coming up with new projects and ideas. I know how to take charge and get things done. I am not one to keep idle hands. I am good at developing relationships and maintaining boundaries. I absolutely loved my job as an afterschool program educator and genuinely enjoyed going to work every day. In my free time, I love crafting, going to the gym, and spending time with my two girls, ages 6 and 12.
Experience with Children
I have over a year of experience working with an after-school program. I have also volunteered for many years at family events where I have supervised children in activities. Additionally, I have been babysitting since I was 14. Lastly, I homeschooled my oldest daughter through a private affidavit during COVID.
