Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I want to be able to help children and not only be seen as a placeholder for their actual teacher, but as someone that they can recognize in public and think to themselves that I had made a difference in their lives. My uncle was a principal in Egly Elementary and made a dfference in many people's lives before his unfortunate passing earlier this year. I want to be somebody that can keep the legacy of love and respect alive.
About Them
I enjoy to read and cook. I believe that every child has an interest in the fine arts that just needs to be awakened. Every child deserves a chance to have their interests praised and supported.
Experience with Children
I worked with children in an afterscchool and weekend program biweekly where we worked in a group setting to discuss how to regulate emotions and work on building self-confidence. I also took are of my younger brother and currently take care of my sister who is in the fourth grade. I have experience in working with children ages two-through-five with autism.
