Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I want to be a substitute teacher because I love helping students succeed and keeping classrooms running smoothly. With my background teaching different subjects across various grade levels, I enjoy jumping into new classrooms, adapting quickly to what students need, and making learning fun and engaging every day.
About Them
I love to read, workout, and explore nature during my free time. I work part time as a medical anthropology/public health researcher and my worldview is deeply rooted in health equity, social justice, and community-engaged collaboration. I view education and community service as powerful tools to empower individuals, including the youth, and inspire meaningful, grassroots social change.
Experience with Children
I worked as a substitute teacher in Alabama for 2 years (K-12). I was a PE instructor for a summer camp (K-5) during the summer of 2025. Additionally, I have experience volunteering with afterschool and community-engagement programs for students K-8.
