Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I want to become a substitute teacher to gain more experience in the classroom before moving onto teaching my own class. I feel that student teaching gave me a great insight into how a classroom was run but I was never the sole teacher. The experience to be in the classroom as the some teacher will help me move Tommy goal to become a full time ELA teacher.
About Them
I am an outgoing person, I like to explore the outdoors in any capacity. My favorite outdoor activities are golfing and watching the sunset. Eastern Michigan has prepared me to view the teaching profession as an ever evolving field with the main focus being on diversity inclusion. I seek to bring that world view to every classroom and student I teach.
Experience with Children
I completed my student teaching at South Hills Middle School under Mrs. Rebecca Marion. My duties were to instruct her lesson plans under her guidance. The subject was 6th grade ELA.
