Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I recently moved to Bend and I’m looking for meaningful ways to become part of the community. Subbing allows me to contribute directly, stay flexible, and build connections with local schools and families.

I’m someone who thrives on being active, curious, and connected to the world around me. I love spending time outdoors—hiking, exploring new places, and taking on challenges that push me to grow. I’m also drawn to community‑focused work and enjoy roles where I can support others and contribute positively. Moving to Bend has made me excited to get involved locally, meet new people, and build meaningful connections.
Experience with Children
I’ve guided teens through Outward Bound programs, supporting their growth, teamwork, and confidence in challenging outdoor settings. I’ve also substituted for the Juneau School District, stepping into classrooms across grade levels, maintaining structure, and keeping students engaged and on task.
