Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I loved being a full-time teacher, but right now I need a role with more flexibility and a pace that better fits my life. Substitute teaching would let me keep doing what I love—working with students and helping them learn, while giving me that flexibility. I may return to full-time teaching when my situation changes. In the meantime, I would bring the same care and commitment to the classroom as a substitute.
About Them
I’m a creative and curious person who loves learning new things. Outside of work, I enjoy writing poetry, music, dancing, spending time with animals, and learning about plants and herbalism. I try to approach people with an open mind and a lot of compassion. I believe everyone has their own strengths and their own way of learning, and I enjoy helping people discover what works for them.
Experience with Children
I taught middle school special education at Rocky Mountain Prep, and I loved teaching. I enjoyed getting to know my students, figuring out how each of them learned best, and seeing their confidence grow when something finally clicked. I also worked as a full-time nanny, supporting children through their daily routines and building close relationships with their families. Both roles taught me to be patient, consistent, and willing to try a new approach when a child needed something different.
