Why They Want to Substitute Teach
I want to be a substitute teacher because I enjoy working with children and supporting their growth in a positive environment. As a pre-nursing student with experience as a CNA and former Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, I value patience, structure, and communication. Substituting allows me to make a meaningful impact while gaining experience working with children of different ages and backgrounds.
About Them
I am a dedicated and compassionate pre-nursing student at Prairie View A&M University with a strong interest in healthcare and helping others. I enjoy staying active, crocheting, volunteering in my free time, and spending time with my dog. My background in healthcare and the military has taught me responsibility, adaptability, and the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone.
Experience with Children
I gained hands-on childcare experience working at my sisterβs licensed in-home daycare (LLC), caring for children ages 2 months to 13 years old. I assisted with daily routines, supervision, and creating a safe, engaging environment. Additionally, as an Immunization Specialist in the U.S. Navy, I worked closely with children from 2 months to 17 years old, developing strong communication, patience, and caregiving skills.
