Why They Want to Substitute Teach

I want to continue supporting students and my community as I prepare for the next chapter after military service. Since 2006, my work as an Army recruiter has brought me into schools and given me years of experience connecting with young people. I have also worked as a substitute teacher through Kelly Services since 2021. I enjoy helping students stay engaged, encouraging them to do their best, and creating a positive, respectful classroom. About Them

I live in New Palestine and look forward to becoming even more involved in my community as I transition toward military retirement. I’m a lifelong learner currently completing the research for my doctorate, which I expect to earn next year, and I enjoy sharing what I learn with others. I’m a proud parent, an enthusiastic traveler, and an outdoor lover who enjoys hiking and fishing. I’m also interested in real estate and enjoy exploring new places. I’ve visited all 50 states, U.S. territories, and more than 14 countries, and those experiences have made me curious about the world and appreciative of the many ways people learn and live.

Experience with Children

I have worked as a substitute teacher with Kelly Services since 2021 in the Indianapolis area. Since 2006, my Army recruiting career has also given me the opportunity to work closely with local schools and students. As I approach military retirement, I look forward to continuing to support students.
